The Ankara Medical Journal is a peer-reviewed, open access, current periodical journal belonging to the Department of Family Medicine of Yıldırım Beyazıt University, Faculty of Medicine. Our journal is published four times annually and is listed in CiteFactor, DOAJ, DRJI, EBSCOhost, GIF (Global Impact Factor), Google Scholar, HINARI, Index Copernicus, J-Gate, Journal Index, Journal TOCs, SHERPA/RoMEO, TUBITAK Turkish Medical Index, Turkish Citation Index, Turkish Medline and Ulrichs Web Global Serials Directory. Being a peer-reviewed journal, the manuscripts sent will be evaluated by consultants and should be appropriate for the current version of common rules (icmje_17.pdf) indicated for biomedical manuscripts as defined by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).
Ankara Medical Journal is dedicated to publishing clinical research articles, invited reviews, letters to the editor, case series / reports on family medicine, medical education, health policies, community health and primary care.
The official language of the journal is English and Turkish. Clinical research articles, invited reviews, letters to the editor, case series / reports on family medicine, medical education, health policies, community health and primary care are under the scope of Ankara Medical Journal.
Articles will not be accepted for evaluation if they have been published or if they are considered for publication elsewhere and if they are not prepared according to the publication rules. Only articles sent online via our website http://www.ankaramedicaljournal.com and sent by the full transfer of copyright form would be considered for publication. Following the abstract sections of the scientific articles in Turkish and English, at least 3 key words should be given in the appropriate language in that format of Index Medicus "Medical Subject Headings" . Key words in Turkish should be the exact translation of MESH terms and chosen among ‘’Turkey Scientific Terms’’, for that reason, the authors should use http://www.bilimterimleri.com andhttp://www.nim.nih.gov/mesh/mbrowser.html.
